Automatic transfer switches (ATS) sense loss of power and transfer automatically; manual transfer switches (MTS) transfer on operator action. Both are available in 100A and 200A, 3-pole, in outdoor NEMA 3R cabinets with a gray powder coat finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between ATS and MTS?
An automatic transfer switch (ATS) senses a power loss and transfers to the standby source automatically. A manual transfer switch (MTS) requires an operator to transfer. ATS is used where uninterrupted transfer matters; MTS where manual control is acceptable.
What ratings are available?
Standard enclosed switches are 100A and 200A, 3-pole. Other amperages and configurations are available on request.
Are they rated for outdoor use?
Yes — they're built in outdoor NEMA 3R cabinets with a gray powder coat finish.
